Yeoh is perfectly cast. Slender and graceful, her physical resemblance to Suu Kyi is remarkable. Recommended for anyone interested in how a lone woman can alter history with a strict code of anti- violence - as did moral giants such as Mahatma Gandhi, Dr Martin Luther King and Nelson Mandela among others. It's inspirational and reassuring: humans can redeem themselves and dictators shall perish.
Synopsis
In 1947, when Aung San Suu Kyi is two years old, her father Aung San leads Burma to independence. But soon afterwards, on 19 July 1947, he along with a group of his colleagues is assassinated by a military death squad.[18] As an adult she goes to England, finds a loving husband and has a happy family life. But in 1988 her mother's poor health forces her to return to Burma where her father, Aung San, is still widely remembered. When she visits her mother in hospital in 1988, she meets many of the people were wounded during the Tatmadaw's crackdown in the 8888 Uprising. She realises that political change is needed in Burma and is soon drawn into the movement to promote reform.[19] She accepts the role of icon in support of self-determination by the Burmese people and devotes herself to activities in support of goals of greater political freedoms[20] Suu Kyi founds a political party and clearly wins the 1990 elections. However, the Burmese military refuse to accept the result of the election and moved to bring Suu Kyi under control. She and her family became separated when her husband and children were banned from Burma and she was put under a house arrest for more than a decade. [21] [22] Yet their relentless struggling for Suu Kyi's recognition outside Burma is her guarantee she won't be forgotten and cannot disappear unnoticed. Due to her family's efforts, she becomes the first woman in Asia to be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.[23] Yet their separation continues because neither can Suu Kyi attend the ceremony nor can her husband Michael Aris see her one last time before his early death.
Background
Rebecca Frayn began working on the project after she and her husband, producer Andy Harries (The Queen, The Damned United) had visited Burma in the early 1990s.[25] Harries' production company Left Bank Pictures began development of the script in 2008 under the working title Freedom from Fear.[26] Harries wanted Michelle Yeoh as the lead and had the script sent to her.[25] The actress was thrilled because she had always wanted to play Suu Kyi. [27] [28] She took a plane to London just to meet the couple. [29] The script was as English as its origin, telling the story solely from Michael Aris' perspective but Michelle Yeoh brought an Asian sight to it.[30] Her spouse Jean Todt (who later on also accompanied the project as accredited producer) encouraged her to contact his country fellowman and friend Luc Besson. [31] [32] [33] She already held Luc Besson in high regard for having directed films about strong women before.[34] Besson accepted ths script immediately while he was fully aware it would force him to bring in all experience he had collected during his decades of work as a film maker. [35] Besson recognised the opportunity for him to finally present a real life heroine, a female fighter who wields no other weapons than her human virtues.[36] During the shooting of the film, news broke that Aung San Suu Kyi's house arrest had been lifted. Luc Besson hesitated to believe what he saw on TV because it looked so much like his recent footage.[37]
Aung San Suu Kyi appears in public after her release on November 14, 2010 Yeoh used her spare time to visit Suu Kyi immediately. [38] She would say later it had been like visiting a dear family member. [39]When they discussed the film the actress got the feeling she was still on the film set because Luc Besson had recreated the house so accurately. [40] [41] Aung San Suu Kyi even gave her a hug. [42] On 22 June 2011 Yeoh wanted to visit Suu Kyi a second time but was deported from Burma, reportedly over her portrayal of Aung San Suu Kyi.[43] Yet this time Luc Besson was allowed to meet Suu Kyi. [44] Suu Kyi said she would hesitate to watch the film because she wasn't too sure to be up to it already. Still she asked for a copy.[45] Michelle Yeoh later expressed her gratitude for the pivotal support of Thai partners such as Siam Movies by handing over a donation to the Chaipattana Foundation on the occasion of the film's release in Thailand. Never underestimate the entertainment value of the Hulk Smash. I just love Marvels Story...why super heroes are super dooper cuteness..
Plot
After his fall from Asgard into space, the Asgardian Loki meets the Other, the leader of a warmongering alien race known as the Chitauri. In exchange for retrieving the Tesseract,2 a powerful energy source of unknown potential, the Other promises Loki a Chitauri army with which he can subjugate the Earth. Nick Fury, director of the espionage agency S.H.I.E.L.D., arrives at a remote research facility during an evacuation. Physicist Dr. Erik Selvig is leading a research team experimenting on the Tesseract, and Agent Maria Hill explains that the object has begun radiating an unusual form of energy. The Tesseract suddenly activates and opens a portal, allowing Loki to reach Earth. Loki takes the Tesseract and uses his staff to enslave Selvig and several agents, including Clint Barton, to aid him in his getaway. In response to the attack, Fury reactivates the "Avengers Initiative". Agent Natasha Romanoff is sent to India to recruit Dr. Bruce Banner; agent Phil Coulson visits Tony Stark to have him review Selvig's research; and Fury approaches Steve Rogers with an assignment to retrieve the Tesseract. While Barton steals iridium needed to stabilize the Tesseract's power, Loki causes a distraction in Stuttgart, Germany, leading to a confrontation with Rogers, Stark, and Romanoff that ends with Loki's surrender. While being escorted back to S.H.I.E.L.D., Thor, Loki's adoptive brother, arrives and frees Loki hoping to convince him to abandon his plan and return him to Asgard. After a confrontation with Stark and Rogers, Thor agrees to take Loki to S.H.I.E.L.D.'s flying aircraft carrier, the Helicarrier, and imprison him until the Tesseract can be acquired. The Avengers become divided, both over how to approach Loki and the revelation that S.H.I.E.L.D. plans to harness the Tesseract to develop weapons as a deterrent against hostile extra-terrestrials. As the group argues, Barton, and Loki's other possessed agents, attack the Helicarrier, disabling its engines in flight and causing Banner to transform into the Hulk. Stark and Rogers try to restart the damaged engines, and Thor attempts to stop the Hulk's rampage. Romanoff fights Barton, and knocks him unconscious, breaking Loki's mind control. Loki escapes after killing Coulson, and Thor and the Hulk are each ejected from the ship. Fury uses Coulson's death to motivate the Avengers into working as a team. Stark and Rogers realize that simply defeating them will not be enough for Loki; he needs to overpower them publicly to validate himself as ruler of Earth. Loki uses the Tesseract, in conjunction with a device Selvig built, to open a portal above Stark Tower to the Chitauri fleet in space, launching his invasion. The Avengers rally in defense of New York City, but quickly realize they will be overwhelmed as wave after wave of Chitauri descend upon Earth. With help from Barton, Rogers, Stark, and Thor evacuate civilians, while Banner transforms into the Hulk again and goes after Loki, eventually beating him into submission. Romanoff makes her way to the portal, where Selvig, freed of Loki's control, reveals that Loki's staff can be used to close the portal. Meanwhile, Fury's superiors attempt to end the invasion by launching a nuclear missile at Manhattan. Stark intercepts the missile and takes it through the portal toward the Chitauri fleet. The missile detonates, destroying the invaders' lead ship, thereby disabling their forces on Earth. Stark's suit runs out of power and he falls back through the portal, but the Hulk saves him from crashing to the ground. Romanoff deactivates the portal to prevent further invasion. In the aftermath, Thor returns Loki and the Tesseract to Asgard. Fury notes that the Avengers will return when they are needed. In the first of two post-credits scenes, the Other confers with his master3 about the attack on Earth; in a second coda, the Avengers eat in silence at a shawarma restaurant.
Cast Robert Downey, Jr. as Tony Stark / Iron Man: A self-described genius, billionaire, playboy, and philanthropist with a mechanical suit of armor of his own invention. Downey was cast as part of his four-picture deal with Marvel Studios, which includes Iron Man 2 and The Avengers. Downey said that he initially pushed Whedon to make Stark the lead: "Well, I said, 'I need to be in the opening sequence. I don't know what you're thinking, but Tony needs to drive this thing.' He was like, 'Okay, let's try that.' We tried it and it didn't work, because this is a different sort of thing, the story and the idea and the theme is the theme, and everybody is just an arm of the octopus." About the character's evolution from previous films, Downey said, "In Iron Man, which was an origin story, he was his own epiphany and redemption of sorts. Iron Man 2 is all about not being an island, dealing with legacy issues and making space for others. . . In The Avengers, he's throwing it down with the others". Chris Evans as Steve Rogers / Captain America: A World War II veteran who was enhanced to the peak of human physicality by an experimental serum. Evans was cast as part of a deal to star in three Marvel films, in addition to The Avengers.[8] Evans said that Steve Rogers is much darker in The Avengers: "It's just about him trying to come to terms with the modern world. You've got to imagine, it's enough of a shock to accept the fact that you're in a completely different time, but everybody you know is dead. Everybody you cared about. . . He was a soldier, obviously, everybody he went to battle with, all of his brothers in arms, they're all dead. He's just lonely. I think in the beginning it's a fish-out-of-water scene, and it's tough. It's a tough pill for him to swallow. Then comes trying to find a balance with the modern world." Regarding the dynamic between Captain America and Tony Stark, Evans said, "I think there's certainly a dichotomy—this kind of friction between myself and Tony Stark, they're polar opposites. One guy is flash and spotlight and smooth, and the other guy is selfless and in the shadows and kind of quiet and they have to get along. They explore that, and it's pretty fun". Mark Ruffalo as Dr. Bruce Banner / Hulk: A genius scientist who, because of exposure to gamma radiation, transforms into a monster when enraged or excited. Ruffalo was cast after negotiations between Marvel and Edward Norton broke down. About replacing Norton, Ruffalo said, "I'm a friend of Ed's, and yeah, that wasn't a great way for all that to go down. But the way I see it is that Ed has bequeathed this part to me. I look at it as my generation's Hamlet." About the character, he said, "He's a guy struggling with two sides of himself—the dark and the light—and everything he does in his life is filtered through issues of control. I grew up on the Bill Bixby TV series, which I thought was a really nuanced and real human way to look at the Hulk. I like that the part has those qualities". Regarding the Hulk's place on the team, Ruffalo said, "He's like the teammate none of them are sure they want on their team. He's a loose cannon. It's like, 'Just throw a grenade in the middle of the group and let's hope it turns out well"![12] This is the first production in which the actor playing Banner also plays the Hulk. Ruffalo told New York magazine, "I'm really excited. No one's ever played the Hulk exactly; they've always done CGI. They're going to do the Avatar stop-action, stop-motion capture. So I'll actually play the Hulk. That'll be fun". About his preparation for the role, Ruffalo said, "I've lost 15 pounds and I've put another five on of just strapping, pure USDA beef. . . They want me mean and lean, but they don't want me big and buff." However, only Ruffalo's face was adapted; the Hulk's body was adapted from that of Long Island bodybuilder and male stripper Steve Romm. A blending of the voices of Mark Ruffalo and Lou Ferrigno(uncredited) comprised the Hulk's voice. Ferrigno played the character in the 1977–82 TV series, and voiced him in 2008's The Incredible Hulk. Chris Hemsworth as Thor: The god of thunder based on the Norse deity of the same name. Hemsworth was cast as part of a multiple movie deal. He had previously worked with Joss Whedon on The Cabin in the Woods. Hemsworth said that he was able to maintain the strength he built up for Thor by increasing his food intake, consisting of chicken breasts, fish, steak and eggs every day. When asked exactly how much, Hemsworth said, "My body weight in protein pretty much!" He remarked that Thor's motivation "is much more of a personal one, in the sense that it's his brother that is stirring things up. Whereas everyone else, it's some bad guy who they've gotta take down. It's a different approach for me, or for Thor. He's constantly having to battle the greater good and what he should do vs. it's his little brother there. . . I've been frustrated with my brothers at times, or family, but I'm the only one who is allowed to be angry at them. There's a bit of that." Scarlett Johansson as Natasha Romanoff / Black Widow: A highly trained spy working for S.H.I.E.L.D. About the character and her relationship with Hawkeye, Johansson said, "Our characters have a long history. They've fought together for a long time in a lot of battles in many different countries. We're the two members of this avenging group who are skilled warriors — we have no superpowers. Black Widow is definitely one of the team, though. She's not in the cast simply to be a romantic foil or eye candy. She's there to fight, so I never felt like I was the only girl. We all have our various skills and it feels equal". Regarding her training, Johansson said, "Even though Iron Man 2 was 'one-for-them,' I'd never done anything like that before. I'd never been physically driven in something, or a part of something so big. For The Avengers, I've spent so many months training with our stunt team, and fighting all the other actors, it's crazy. I do nothing but fight—all the time." Jeremy Renner as Clint Barton / Hawkeye: An agent with S.H.I.E.L.D. and a master archer known in the comics as the "World's Greatest Marksman." Renner said it was a very physical role and that he trained physically and practiced archery as much as possible in preparation. About the role, Renner said, "When I saw Iron Man, I thought that was a really kick-ass approach to superheroes. Then they told me about this Hawkeye character, and I liked how he wasn't really a superhero; he's just a guy with a high skill set. I could connect to that." Regarding Hawkeye's sniper mentality, Renner said, "It's a lonely game. He's an outcast. His only connection is to Scarlett's character, Natasha. It's like a left hand/right hand thing. They coexist, and you need them both, especially when it comes to a physical mission." Renner said Hawkeye is not insecure about his humanity. "Quite the opposite, he's the only one who can really take down the Hulk with his [tranquilizer-tipped] arrows. He knows his limitations. But when it comes down to it, there has to be a sense of confidence in any superhero." Tom Hiddleston as Loki: Thor's adoptive brother and nemesis, based on the deity of the same name. About his character's evolution from the film Thor, Hiddleston said, "I think the Loki we see in The Avengers is further advanced. You have to ask yourself the question: how pleasant an experience is it disappearing into a wormhole that has been created by some kind of super nuclear explosion of his own making? So I think by the time Loki shows up in The Avengers, he's seen a few things." About Loki's motivations, Hiddleston said, "At the beginning of The Avengers, he comes to Earth to subjugate it and his idea is to rule the human race as their king. And like all the delusional autocrats of human history, he thinks this is a great idea because if everyone is busy worshipping him, there will be no wars so he will create some kind of world peace by ruling them as a tyrant. But he is also kind of deluded in the fact that he thinks unlimited power will give him self-respect, so I haven't let go of the fact that he is still motivated by this terrible jealousy and kind of spiritual desolation". Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury: The director of S.H.I.E.L.D., who was revealed in previous films to be coordinating the "Avengers Initiative". Jackson was brought to the project with a deal containing an option to play the character in up to nine Marvel films. In April 2011, Jackson's script was stolen and leaked on the internet after a digital copy was left in a printer. Jackson said he does more in The Avengers than in any of the previous films: "You don't have to wait until the end of the movie to see me". About the role, Jackson said, "It's always good to play somebody that is a positive in society as opposed to somebody who is a negative. . . I tried to make him as honest to the story and as honest to what real-life would seem." Jackson compared the character to Ordell in Jackie Brown, calling him "a nice guy to hang out with. You just don't want to cross him". Cobie Smulders as Maria Hill: An agent with S.H.I.E.L.D. who works closely with Jackson's Nick Fury. Smulders, whom Joss Whedon once considered for his unproduced live-action Wonder Woman film, was selected from a short list of potential actresses including Morena Baccarin. Smulders' deal would integrate her into nine films. Regarding her preparation, Smulders said, "I hired this amazing black-ops trainer to teach me how to hold a gun, take me to a shooting range, how to hit, how to hold myself, how to walk and basically how to look. I don't do a ton of fighting in the movie, which is why I wasn't offered a trainer, but I wanted to look like I had the ability to."On relating to the character, Smulders said, "I can relate to her being a mom and being a businesswoman and trying to work full-time and raising a family and having a career. We're asked to do a lot of things these days. I feel she is just all about her job and keeping things going."[36] Clark Gregg, Stellan Skarsgård, and Gwyneth Paltrow reprise their roles from previous films as Phil Coulson, Erik Selvig, and Pepper Potts, respectively.[37][38][39] Paul Bettany returns to voice JARVIS. Frequent Whedon collaborator Alexis Denisof portrays the Other, and Damion Poitier portrays his master in a post-credit scene. Avengers co-creator Stan Lee has a cameo appearance in a news report. Harry Dean Stanton also has a cameo as a security guard. i still like the Season 1 Plot, this one (S2) other character are annoying sometimes... the ending as well is bad, a bit confusing.

It was Peter of Heroes (TV Series - Milo Ventimiglia)... No one has any goals other than to be the most annoying person in the room and there's plenty of competition in that department. It's a waste of a good setup as the situation and location are well drawn.
Plot
As nuclear explosions ravage New York City, the apartment block residents rush downstairs to escape the building, only to be forced into the basement by further explosions. Only eight of the residents, Eva and her boyfriend Sam, Josh and his brother Adrien, Josh's friend Bobby, Marilyn and her daughter Wendi, and Devlin manage to force their way into the buildings bomb shelter before the superintendent, Mickey, seals the door. The group acclimate to the cramped surroundings while Mickey asserts his dominance of the shelter, to the chagrin of Josh, Bobby, and Devlin. After time passes, the shelter's door is broken open and the shelter is invaded by armed soldiers in biohazard suits; the men's speech is unintelligible, and their allegiance remains ambiguous. The men attack the group and seize Wendi, leaving the shelter with her. Devlin and Mickey manage to kill two of the men, and Mickey takes his machine gun. Josh volunteers to use one of the dead soldier's suits to leave the shelter and search for Wendi.
Outside of the shelter, Josh finds the area entirely sealed off by material tunnels connected to a laboratory. His outfit allows Josh to explore the lab, where he discovers several children, including Wendi, in containment units, seemingly unconscious, their hair shaved off and their eyes covered with plasters. One of the soldiers checks the ID on Josh's outfit and, realizing he is an impostor, tears out his breathing apparatus, exposing Josh to the air. Josh flees back to the shelter, killing two of the soldiers on the way. After Josh returns, the soldiers weld the door shut from the outside, trapping all within. Time passes; Josh begins to suffer the effects of his exposure and admits to Adrien that he only went outside to find rescue for Adrien and himself; Eva, in a fractured relationship with the meek Sam, grows closer to Adrien; Bobby is forced to hack up the bodies of the dead soldiers so their decaying remains can be flushed away; Devlin grows suspicious that Mickey is hoarding resources; and Marilyn, told her child is dead by Josh, enters a sexual relationship with Bobby.
Marilyn attempts to convince Eva to sleep with Josh, warning her that the men will want sex. The group grow increasingly angry with Mickey as resources grow scarce, culminating when Devlin discovers Mickey's locked safe room and threatens him with a taser to open it. A scuffle ensues and Mickey shoots Devlin dead with the machine gun. The group do not believe Mickey's argument of self defense and an increasingly ill Josh, and an increasingly deranged Bobby, torture him to gain the code to the safe room; Eva throws the machine gun into the toilet septic tank to stop Josh using it. Seizing authority, Josh and Bobby are physically and emotionally abusive of Marilyn. Josh makes it clear that he wants Eva, and Sam is unable to stand up for her. Eva and Sam try to protect Marilyn from Josh and Bobby, but are unable to. While Eva is tasked with watching Mickey, Mickey reveals that there is a gun hidden in his safe room.
Josh and Bobby force Eva to hack up Devlin's corpse when Sam cannot, leaving Eva distraught. Josh and Bobby, both losing their hair to illness, shave their heads. Mickey informs Eva that there is another way out of the shelter; through the septic tank. Eva tries to retrieve the gun, but cannot get past the pair. She finds Marilyn's corpse, the two having beaten her to death. Eva notices her hair is falling out and realizes she is also sick; the shelter is not protecting them from the outside because of the broken door. Eva sends Sam to retrieve the gun while she cuts the power to distract Bobby and lures Josh away with the promise of sex. Josh grows suspicious and tries to rape Eva, but she fights him off with help from Adrien. Sam retrieves the gun, but as Bobby, Josh, Eva, and Adrien yell instructions at him, Sam shoots and kills Adrien. Josh brutally beats Sam. Bobby turns on Josh and is about to shoot him when Eva cuts his throat with a tin can lid. Eva frees Mickey who shoots Josh. Josh smashes an oil lamp, setting himself alight and causing a fire in the shelter. While Sam and Mickey attempt to put out the blaze, Eva chooses to escape. She recovers the biohazard suit, and locks herself in the safe room. She breaks through the toilet into the septic tank below, while Mickey and Sam are left trapped and succumb to the growing flames.
Eva emerges from the septic tank into the remains of the city and stares blankly at the devastation.

An alien invasion flick that evidently expects dramatic shots of a depopulated Red Square to make up for a flatlining screenplay and the absence of even a single compelling character.
Ben and Sean, two young American men, travel to Moscow to sell their social networking/party locating software. They find their Swedish business partner, Skyler, has already made a deal with the Russians, using a knockoff version of the application. They then go to a local nightclub and meet Natalie, an attractive American woman, and her Australian friend Anne. They then go outside to witness what appears to be an Aurora Borealis. But some of the light suddenly separates and falls from the sky, landing all over Moscow. The lights then abruptly disappears, and when a police officer approaches it, the light disintegrates him and begins doing the same to anyone who comes near where the lights are. The lights, aliens protected by almost invisible force fields, then start hunting and killing everyone sending everyone into a complete panic.
Ben, Sean, Natalie, Anne and Skyler end up hiding in the club's storeroom for several days. When they finally venture out, they find the city seemingly lifeless with everyone gone. They also discover that light bulbs and other electrical devices begin working when an invisible alien is nearby, creating a primitive early warning system for them.
The group makes its way to the American Embassy, which has been gutted. There they learn through a logbook that the invasion is worldwide. They take shelter in a building to get a better look onto the city and to find out where to go next, but Skyler refuses to do so and runs off. Above at the top of the building, they see an alien about to approach Skyler. Sean and Ben decide to try to save him, but are too late and he is killed. When the others go outside they see a light in a nearby tower and go to investigate. They also bring a working radio they've found at the embassy, which repeats a message in Russian. In the building they find a young woman named Vika and Sergai, an electrical engineer. He made the apartment into a giant Faraday cage that hides everyone inside from the aliens. He also developed a microwave gun that weakens the aliens' force fields buying time to actually kill it. Vika and Sergai translate the message; which announces a nuclear submarine is waiting in the Moscow River to take survivors to safety.
As Sergai shows the boys the microwave device, Vika, Natalie and Anne go to other apartments to gather supplies for the submarine journey. An alien senses the women outside the Faraday cage and chases them, but Anne is hesitant to follow Vika when she tells them to follow her to safety and chooses to go another way sending Natalie along with her back inside. When they run to the apartment Natalie is unable to lock the door and the alien comes inside the apartment. Sergai shoots the alien with the microwave gun and finds that it only stuns them. The alien kills Sergai when the gun's batteries run down. The others get out by the fire escape, but Anne hesitates to follow them and as a result is killed, horrifying Natalie. Natalie then sets the apartment on fire as they climb down to ground level where they meet up with Vika.
They meet up with Russian police who managed to wound an alien with conventional weapons, and Sean collects a piece of it. They were also able to construct another Faraday cage at the local library. The team eventually agree to help the remaining four to get to the submarine. The policemen believe that the aliens are strip mining Earth for conductive metals since giant light columns can be seen drilling all over Moscow.
While making their way through the subway an alien discovers them and they try to escape on the tracks. Vika becomes trapped behind a pillar, unable to join the others without being seen. Ben races over and helps her climb down to the tracks, but because of his effort to save her, he is captured and disintegrated as a helpless Sean is forced to watch his best friend die.
The survivors make it to a boat on the river, planning to travel downstream to the waiting submarine. Before they can reach it though, a new alien light beam destroys a building right next to the river, causing the boat to capsize and throw them all into the water. Finally swimming to the submarine Sean discovers Natalie is missing from the group. They then witness a flare fired from Natalie's flare gun and Sean is determined to get her despite possibly missing his chance to escape the city. The police team agrees to go with him to rescue her after they build a second microwave gun. Sean eventually finds her hiding on a bus as the police team destroy four of the creatures using newly learned techniques and the microwave guns. However as Sean is about to get off the bus with Natalie, an alien gets onto the bus and locks the door and sends the bus speeding randomly around the city and almost manages to kill Natalie after pulling her towards it. Sean manages to kill the alien after destroying its shield with his microwave gun by discovering their hidden weakness - hurling the piece of wounded alien he collected earlier into the unshielded alien kills it instantly. The two barely manage to stop the bus where the others are, barely preventing a collision.
After returning to the submarine, the police team decides to stay and fight the aliens for their city. Sean, Natalie and Vika plan to spread what they learned about fighting the aliens - the microwave guns and their weakness to remnants of dead aliens - to other survivors and it implied that Sean and Natalie have become a couple after nearly sharing a kiss on the submarine. Later they learn that fighters in Paris managed to destroy an alien mining tower and the film ends on a hopeful note.

Means well but ultimately lacks original thrills.
Plot
On 5 June 1944, commandos are sent to the Channel Islands on sabotage and distraction raids, to draw Hitler's attention away from Normandy. At night, two New Zealand soldiers, Captain Ben Grogan (Craig Hall) and Sergeant Joe Tane (Karlos Drinkwater) paddle in their Klepper canoe to Forau Island, landing on a beach covered in anti-personnel mines and tank traps. They leave the beach and head inland, walking through woods when they hear distant screaming and gunfire. They approach a German fortification and hear what they think is a man being tortured. They climb down into a large gun pit and place explosives on a large artillery gun, but are disturbed when a German soldier (Luke Hawker) runs out of a tunnel pleading for help. Grogan stabs the soldier in the head and kills him. They hear a woman screaming, and Grogan decides to investigate, with Tane later following him. Tane ends up killed by an unseen German, while Grogan is captured and knocked unconscious.
Grogan wakes and is briefly tortured by a Nazi, Colonel Meyer (Matthew Sunderland), who wants to know his mission. During the interrogation, a woman is heard screaming from another room. Grogan eventually escapes and chases Meyer into the tunnels, shooting and injuring him. Grogan follows the sound of the woman up to a room covered in occult symbols. He finds a chained woman (Gina Varela), who reveals herself to be his dead wife, Helena. Meyer enters the room and shoots Grogan in the leg, then shoots Helena in the head, apparently killing her. Grogan attacks Meyer, who explains the woman is a demon, summoned up from a book of black magic found on the island. Meyer proves this by offering Helena the leg of a dead German. She comes back to life and changes into the demon as she eats the leg.
After Grogan removes a bullet, Meyer recovers and explains the demon is a shapeshifter and a weapon the Germans plan to use against the Allies. However, they realised the demon poses a world threat, so they keep it confined. Meyer offers to give the book to Grogan if he will help Meyer escape from Germany. Meyer then persuades Grogan to help him perform a ritual to dispel the demon back to Hell, but Meyer betrays Grogan at the end of the ritual. The demon devours Meyer but cannot harm Grogan because he stole the protective incantation against the demon from Meyer. Unable to complete the ritual, Grogan takes the book and leaves the demon behind, to prey on any Germans that come to investigate. One does fall prey during the closing credits.

Synopsis7 detectives, each with their own unique style in problem solving, work at the same detective agency. Each detective is in charge of their own case file until one day, the cases somehow seem to tangle up together into one big mystery. Inevitably, the detectives are left with no choice but to team up together in tackling the intriguing, but complex mystery. Despite differing opinions and amidst complications, the detectives work together to unravel the truth behind the suspect's agenda. Tokita Shuntaro is a freshman detective who has the tendency of sticking his head in things too far out of sympathy or excessive emotions towards his clients or research objects. This trait leads him to take unnecessary steps, ones that often times lead him to trouble. Contrary to Shuntaro, Nitta Teru is a well composed detective. He eyes Shuntaro with a cold stare and often times conflicts with his opinions. Watching over Shuntaro and Teru like a big brother is Asahi Junpei, a senior detective who goes in between the two and tries to settle their disputes but instead ends up complicating the situation. Filled with "action", "comedy", and "positive thinking", the action packed entertainment show is sure to appeal to the entire family from children to adults. The team of 7 detectives with differing opinions, bold character, laughs, thrilling moments and high scale action will keep you on your toes at all times. Not a moment shall be missed!

a hot temper guitarist become French Chief... rock star meant to be a chief..
 Plot
Eisuke Yamate (Osamu Mukai) is busy preparing dishes with two other men for the opening of his French restaurant "Le Petit Chou." Chie Okusu (Miori Takimoto) is a college student who dreams of meeting her perfect match and having dinner with him at the French restaurant like "Le Petit Chou" for her birthday. On the day of Chie's birthday, she goes to "Le Petit Chou" with her female friend. When they arrive, they are surprised to find that the restaurant looks completely different from what they saw in the magazine. Furthermore, the name of the restaurant has been changed to "Gasterea." Chie and her friend then notice a "Le Petit Chou" flyer nearby, which points passersby to another location. They go towards the direction that the flyer points and soon notice a man, Eisuke Yamate, hanging the "Le Petit Chou" flyers along other buildings. They decide to follow Eisuke Yamate and he eventually goes inside a warehouse. When Eisuke comes out, he brings out an electric guitar and proceeds to smash it into the ground. Eisuke then notices Chie and her friend and tells them that "Le Petit Chou" will have its opening in the evening. Chie and her friend then realize that the warehouse they are standing in front is "Le Petit Chou." 3 months before... Eisuke Yamate is a member of rock group "Rock Head," which he formed with friends 15 years ago. His mother is a chef who specializes in French cuisine. Eisuke was also born with a natural talent for cooking and until the age of 13, dreamed of becoming a French chef. Eisuke even learned to speak French and practiced cooking different dishes. At the age of 13, Eisuke heard rock music for the first time and felt an immediate connection with the music. Soon afterwards, Eisuke dreamed of becoming of a rock star, while forgetting about his culinary dreams. By the age of 29, Eisuke's band "Rock Head" still hasn't achieved very much success. The band's lead singer then quits the group. The other two members of "Rock Head" start talking about pursuing other lines of work. The group attempts to make a pact that if they are still not recognized by the age of 30 they will quit for good. Even before that pact can go into place, the band decides to breakup that day. Later that same evening, Eisuke goes to his mother's French restaurant "Le Petit Chou." A man named Tokio Aso (Goro Inagaki) tells Eisuke's mom that he could renovate the restaurant to make her more money, but Eisuke's mom turns his offer down. When Eisuke arrives, he tells his mother that he now wants to work as an assistant chef at her restaurant. Eisuke's mother encourages him to do what will make him happy. While they are having their discussion, Eisuke's mother suddenly collapses and dies. After his mother's funeral, Eisuke tells his father that he will work at "Le Petit Chou" as its chef. His father informs Eisuke that he already sold the restaurant to Tokio Aso after he promised to keep the restaurant exactly like it is. When Eisuke and his father walk over to "La Petit Chou" they start to hear loud sounds coming from the direction of the restaurant. They run over to the restaurant and discover that is being demolished. Eisuke and his father confronts Tokio Aso about his promise, but Tokio Aso just ignores them. Eisuke then decides to open a restaurant at a warehouse with the same name as his mom's place. Eisuke brings over the two former members of his band "Rock Head" and they prepare for the grand opening of "La Petit Chou," which will have its opening on the same day as rival French restaurant "Gasterea." Great interior decorator; the sets and especially the icostumes (the final work of the late Eiko Ishioka, an Oscar-winner for Coppola's "Dracula") delight the eye, even if the action they are meant to support is rather static.
Plot
The film opens with Queen Clementianna (Julia Roberts) narrating the tale which she says is actually her story, not Snow White's. Snow White's mother died after giving birth to her. Her father, the King (Sean Bean), then raised Snow White so that she could rule the kingdom one day. Feeling that she needed a mother, the king married again. His new wife is Clementianna, the most beautiful woman in the land. One day, the king leaves to fight a great evil that has invaded the land, leaving Snow White his favorite dagger. He rides off into the forest and never comes back. Clementianna rules in his place. Jealous and threatened by Snow White and the people's devotion to her, the queen decides Snow White must do what snow does best, fall. Ten years later Snow White (Lily Collins) is turning eighteen and has spent much of her life sequestered in the palace. The Queen does not care for her but Snow White is still loved by the palace staff. Snow White has accepted her fate and the abuse of her overbearing stepmother, forgetting that she is the true heir to the throne. The Baker tells Snow White that the kingdom is rightfully hers and that she should go outside and see what has become of her people. Snow White then defies the Queen's orders and leaves the palace, intent on seeing the conditions of her kingdom. In the forest, she meets Prince Alcott (Armie Hammer) and his companion who have been robbed by bandits (the seven dwarfs). She and the Prince are drawn to each other but go their separate ways. Snow White arrives in the town which the palace overlooks, and discovers it is barren and the people destitute due to the Queen's greed. She remembers visiting the town once before with her father, and how the people used to sing and dance. A townswoman tells her that such things have not happened for many years. Angered that Clementianna has destroyed everything her father worked for, Snow White decides to help the kingdom and overthrow the Queen.
Prince Alcott finds his way to the palace. The Queen, realizing he comes from a wealthy kingdom, hatches a plot to get him to marry her so she can solve her financial problems. She hosts a ball in honor of the Prince and goes to great lengths to make herself as beautiful as possible. Snow White, secretly attends the ball, planning to ask the prince, whom she believes she has not met, to help her restore the kingdom. She and Alcott learn the truth about each other when they are partnered in a dance. Smitten, Prince Alcott makes sure that Snow White stays by his side which the Queen notices. The Queen has Snow White seized by her guards, and Snow White, for the first time in her life, stands up to her stepmother and tells her she has no right to rule as she does. The Queen, seeing Snow White as the threat she always feared she would be orders her manservant, Brighton (Nathan Lane), to take the princess into the forest and feed her to the beast that lives there. Brighton takes Snow White to the forest but is unable to kill her, instead he releases her and tells her to run. Snow White, fleeing the beast, collapses at the door the Seven Dwarfs house. The Queen goes to her magic mirror, a portal to a bleak and barren world that contains a house full of mirrors. Within the mirrors lives a reflection of the Queen. The reflection is a younger, wiser version of her, dressed in simple country clothes, suggesting the Queen had truly humble beginnings. The Queen then requests a love potion so she can make the Prince fall in love with her. The mirror repeatedly warns her that there is a price for using magic. Back in the forest, Snow White wakes up to find herself surrounded by the dwarfs (Grimm, Butcher, Wolf, Napoleon, Half Pint, Grub, Chuckles). After much debate they agree to let her stay with them for one night.
The Queen levies another tax against the people to pay for the parties she throws for Prince Alcott. Brighton is sent to collect, and is informed by the town magistrate that the people can not tolerate much more. On the way back to the palace the dwarfs rob Brighton and steal the tax money. When Snow White finds out that the dwarfs are thieves, and that the stolen money belongs to the townspeople, she is angry. The dwarfs explain that no one stood up for them years earlier when the Queen expelled them from the kingdom because she thought they were ugly. Thus, they feel no guilt for stealing. Snow White sneaks away while they are distracted to return the money. The townspeople are overjoyed to have their money back and Snow White lets the dwarfs take credit for it, earning them the people's acceptance and gratitude. The dwarfs agree that Snow White can stay permanently if she agrees to become a thief, like them. She agrees, but only if they can steal from the Queen and give back to the people.
Meanwhile, Clementianna informs Alcott that Snow White is dead, and attempts to get him to marry her, only to be interrupted by Brighton. When the Prince finds out that the bandits have robbed Brighton, he goes after them, unaware of the awful things the Queen has done. In the forest Alcott discovers that Snow White is not only alive but in league with the bandits. Each believing the other to be in the wrong, Snow White and Alcott duel. Alcott returns to the Palace defeated and informs the Queen that Snow White is alive and in league with the bandits that stole her money. The Queen consults the mirror once again. She demands the mirror turn Brighton into a cockroach as punishment for lying to her and tells the mirror to use it's magic to kill Snow White. The mirror warns her again that there is a price to using magic, but the Queen, blinded by hatred, agrees to accept whatever consequences her actions may bring. She uses a love potion to make the Prince fall in love with her with unintended results (she accidentally used a potion called Puppy Love which causes the Prince to act like a devoted puppy dog). Although the effects of the potion were wrong, she uses the Prince's new found devotion to get him to agree to marry her. When Snow White learns of the wedding, she is heartbroken. The Queen then uses black magic, she creates two giant wooden puppets in the forest and uses them to try and kill Snow White and the dwarfs. Snow White is able to cut the strings of the puppets and break the mirror's spell, but she decides to run away to protect her new friends. The next morning, the dwarfs find her gone and discover a note she left them telling them she loves them all. They intercept her just as she is preparing to leave. The dwarfs are able to cheer her up, and convince her their lives are better with her not without. They decide to crash the wedding of the Queen and the Prince. The Queen arrives at her wedding to find the Prince gone and the guests in their underwear, robbed of their clothes and valuables. They then inform the Queen that Snow White has captured the Prince. Back in the forest, the Prince (still under the spell) wishes to be with the Queen. The dwarfs and Snow White come to the conclusion that they have to use true love's kiss, which will break any spell. Snow White kisses Alcott, her first kiss, and the spell is broken.
The Queen arrives in the forest, intent on killing Snow White herself. She reveals that she can control the Beast that has been plaguing the forest and sends it after Snow White. Snow White fights the Beast, with help from the dwarfs and the Prince, but all are soon overcome. As the beast is about to deliver the killing blow, it hesitates and Snow White sees that it wears a necklace with a moon charm on it (similar to the one the Queen wears). She cuts the chain with her father's dagger and the Beast suddenly becomes engulfed in light. In the mirror house the Queen is gloating but suddenly realizes something is wrong. She begins to age and the mirror tells her this is the price she has to pay for using magic. The Beast turns out to be Snow White's father who has no memory of the last ten years. Grateful to Alcott for his assistance he agrees to let him marry Snow White. During the wedding celebration, a hooded crone offers Snow White an apple as a wedding gift. As she is about to take a bite, Snow White realizes the crone is what has become of the Queen. She then cuts a piece of the apple and offers it to Clementianna and remarks it is time to accept that she has been beaten, something the Queen once said to her. Accepting defeat, the Queen eats the apple. In the mirror house the Mirror says "It was Snow White's story after all". The mirrors shatter, and the mirror house collapses destroying the portal in the palace as well. The film ends with Snow White singing "I Believe in Love", Bollywood style.

Casting
Roberts was the first to be cast, because very early on Tarsem Singh wanted an Evil Queen with whom audiences could relate. He stated that in the film, the queen is not evil, but rather insecure. He also revealed that the Queen's true ugliness may be revealed at the very end of the film.[4]
Originally Saoirse Ronan was considered for the role of Snow White but the age difference between her and Armie Hammer was too large (he was 25 and she was 17). Felicity Jones was offered the part but turned it down.[5] Collins was eventually cast in the role.[6] Collins said in an interview that her casting happened in 24 hours after she met Tarsem Singh and read for him.[7]
Hammer was cast as the prince who is at first drawn towards the Queen and then towards Snow White. He beat out James McAvoy and Alex Pettyfer for the role. | Category: | Movies | | Genre: | Drama |
It's sort of chaotic. It swings around all over the place but it's nicely done. It's nicely acted and Johnny Depp's terrific.
Premise
Paul Kemp (Depp) is an author that hasn't been able to sell a book. He gets a job at a newspaper in San Juan, Puerto Rico. There, he meets Sala (Michael Rispoli), who gets him acclimated and tells him he thinks the newspaper will fold soon. Kemp checks into a hotel and meets Chenault (Amber Heard), who's avoiding a Union Carbide party. Kemp is immediately smitten with her.
Kemp and Sala immediately go on a drinking binge, which earns Kemp the enmity of his editor, Lotterman (Richard Jenkins). Kemp also meets Moberg (Giovanni Ribisi), a deadbeat reporter who can't be fired. While waiting for an interview, Kemp meets Sanderson (Aaron Eckhart), a freelance realtor, who offers him a job writing ads for his latest venture. Sanderson is engaged to Chenault, who pretends not to know Kemp.
Later, Kemp moves in with Sala, who also rooms with Moberg. Kemp begins to see the poverty of San Juan, but Lotterman doesn't want him to write about it, as it's bad for tourism. Moberg returns with leftover filters from a rum plant; they contain high-proof alcohol. Moberg has been fired, and rants about killing Lotterman.
Kemp visits Sanderson and spies him making love to Chenault. He meets Zimburger (Bill Smitrovich) and Segarra (Amaury Nolasco), who want him to help with a real estate scam. Later, Sala and Kemp go to a restaurant and berate the owner for refusing them service; Kemp senses that the owner wants to kill them, and he and Sala beat a hasty retreat, pursued by angry locals. The police arrive and break up the fight, then throw Sala and Kemp in jail. Sanderson bails them out.
The next day, Kemp meets with Sanderson's crew, who tell him that the US military is relinquishing the lease on some prime real estate, and is asked to pick up Chenault from her house. Kemp and Chenault share a moment, but resist temptation.
Zimburger takes Kemp and Sala to see the island property, then they head to St. Thomas for Carnival. Kemp finds Chenault, and they wind up on Sanderson's boat. Sanderson berates Kemp for involving Sala in the deal. At night, they go to a club, and a drunk Chenault dances with local men to provoke Sanderson, with whom she has been fighting.
The next day, Chenault is gone, and Sanderson tells Kemp that their business arrangement is over. When Salas and Kemp return home, Moberg tells them that Lotterman has left and that the paper will go out of business. He also sells them hallucinogens, which they take. Kemp has an epiphany while under the influence, and resolves to write an exposé on Sanderson's shady deals.
Lotterman returns, but won't publish Kemp's story. Chenault shows up at Kemp's place, and Sanderson disowns her. Out of spite, he withdraws his bail, meaning that Kemp and Sala are now wanted by the police. Moberg also tells them that Lotterman has closed the paper. Kemp decides to print a last issue, telling the truth about Lotterman and Sanderson, as well as the stories Lotterman declined.
To make money to print the last edition, Kemp, Sala and Moberg place a big cockfighting bet. They visit Papa Nebo (Karimah Westbrook), Moberg's hermaphrodite witch doctor, to lay a blessing on Moberg's prize cockerel. They win, but return to the office to find that the printing presses have been confiscated.
Kemp continues his quest, stealing Sanderson's boat. The end credits explain that Kemp makes it back to New York, married Chenault, and becomes a successful journalist, having finally found his voice as a writer.

The film centers around a young and ambitious woman named Ji Eun-Yi and her pet, a human boy.
After her fiancé leaves her for his mistress and Ji Eun-Yi is demoted at work, she stumbles across a young injured homeless man in a box outside her condominium. She takes him in and becomes attached to him. As a joke, she says she wants to keep him as a pet, and to her surprise, the young man agrees. She names him Momo, after her beloved dog from childhood. Ji Eun-Yi provides room and board, and Momo provides unconditional love and loyalty. Momo, whose actual name is Kang In-Ho, is a famous dancer who gradually brings happiness to his master's life.
Despite his growing affection for her, Ji Eun-Yi says there is no romance of any sort in their relationship. However, sexual tension gradually arises as the two spend more time together. But not only does Ji Eun-Yi struggle with her feelings for the young guy, she also needs to keep him a secret from her co-workers, especially her former college classmate and new romantic interest Woo-seong.
[edit]Notes
The film has raised eyebrows and excited fans all over due to Jang Geun Suk's more intimate scenes. There were several scenes of the world famous actor without a shirt as well as naked in a bathtub.[2] Additionally, this film has Jang Geun Suk's first passionate kissing scene. | Category: | Movies | | Genre: | Mystery & Suspense |

funny... It manages to spectacularly abandon all its small-screen smarts and charm.
Plot
Four boys - Will (also narrator in the film), Simon, Jay and Neil - have finished their A-levels and are about to leave Rudge Park Comprehensive, much to the relief of Mr. Gilbert, their sardonic, mean sixth form tutor. Within their final week of school, however, Jay's grandfather dies, Simon is dumped by his girlfriend Carli and Will's divorced father tells him he has married his much younger mistress. Feeling worthless, the boys decide to go on holiday together and Neil books them on a trip to Malia, Crete. Jay hates it that Simon talks about Carli all the time, and from now on hits him in the balls every time he does that.
Their accommodation in Malia is awful. On the way to the bars, the boys encounter a strange youngster named Richard (Theo Barklem-Biggs) who came alone to Malia for a holiday. While walking past the bars, the boys are tricked into entering a bar which is really empty. The boys are disappointed at first, but soon four girls walk in - Alison, Lucy, Lisa and Jane. Their initial meeting goes less than smoothly - Will chats to Alison and pokes fun at her cliched "Greek waiter boyfriend", Simon bores Lucy talking about Carli (it is a relief for Simon to be able to do that without being hit in the balls), Neil has a non-conversation with Lisa, and Jay "gets stuck" with the bubbly, if somewhat overweight Jane. The girls go on their way after Neil pulls two older women, but arrange to meet the boys the next day. Outside the bar, Simon sees Carli across the street; this is because Neil asked Carli where she was going and booked the same place. Simon then angrily tells Neil that the point of the holiday was to take his mind off Carli. He talks awkwardly with her before being knocked down by a quad-bike ridden by James, an abusive club rep and Carli's new boyfriend. Carli reveals she is going to an all-day boat party later in the week, and Simon pledges to meet her there.
The next morning, Will and Simon awaken to the sound of Neil having sex with a middle-aged woman and find Jay sleeping face-down in an ants' nest outside. After sobering up, they go to meet the girls by their hotel pool. While there, a local little boy pushes Jay into the pool and later pulls Jay's shorts down, after which Jay throws him into the pool in retaliation, finding out that the boy did not lie when he said he can not swim; the boy is rescued by other hotel patrons. At the same time, a man shows up who had reserved poolside sun-loungers by putting towels on them. He is angry because the boys have thrown the towels in the pool and taken the chairs for themselves. Will points out that his daughter in a wheelchair doesn't even need another chair. Having publicly humiliated themselves, the boys are quickly ejected from the hotel.
Outside, Jay argues with Simon over his continuing obsession with Carli and they fight in the street. Will and Neil separate the pair and drag off Simon and Jay, respectively, in different directions. Desperate to buy a ticket for the boat party, Simon sells his clothes to James, including what he is wearing, but never gets paid for them and is left naked in the middle of the street. Meanwhile, Jay angrily tears up two boat party tickets he secretly bought for them as a surprise. He and Neil then go to a nightclub later that night hoping to meet more girls, only to witness a male stripper performing autofellatio on stage. The duo subsequently run into James and his friends, who ridicule and threaten them until they leave.
Later that evening, the four boys meet back at the bar and bury the hatchet. Before long, the girls turn up and suggest that they all go skinny dipping at the local beach. Jane attempts to kiss Jay, but he is embarrassed to be seen with her so she leaves him behind. Will has better luck with Alison until, when Alison takes off his glasses and throws them away in an intimate moment, with his pants and underwear at his ankles he falls onto Alison's Greek boyfriend having sex with another woman; Alison then runs off in tears. Lucy and Simon appear to be growing closer until he sees Carli on the beach and leaves Lucy alone in the sea.
Eventually, the boys are able to obtain tickets for the boat party. On board, Carli kisses Simon passionately in order to make James jealous, and Simon realises he is being used, and leaves Carli. Jay apologises to Jane, and she takes him into the toilets to perform oral sex on him. After finishing, they encounter James, who mocks Jane's weight and demands drugs from Jay. Jay gives him a €20 note that had been concealed in his anus to be used as a bribe for 'corrupt foreign police' when necessary, resulting in James unknowingly walking around with faeces on the end of his nose for the rest of the day. (He doesn't seem to notice this as women he tries talking to move away from him.) Neil bumps into Richard during the boat party and is introduced to Richard's parents (both senior citizens), who came over at Richard's request to pick him up. When Neil is about to kiss the mother as a polite gesture, Lisa rushes over and tells her to back off as she thinks Neil is trying to make moves on her, after taking Jay's tips on grinding (dance) and dry humping and performing sexual acts whilst dancing. After Neil tells Lisa that his girlfriend back home dumped him, and he didn't want to tell the others as to not be embarrased, they feel no longer limited in the kind of sex they have.
Meanwhile, Alison hunts out Will and asks to be his girlfriend, which he eagerly accepts. Simon finally realises that Lucy, who gave him her ticket so that he could attend the party, is more worthy of his attention than Carli. Knowing that he has been less than kind to her, and encouraged by everyone on the boat, he decides to swim all the way to shore to tell her how he feels, as a grand romantic gesture, and dives into the sea. However, he nearly drowns and has to be airlifted to shore. As paramedics load him into an ambulance, a concerned Lucy rushes forward and kisses him, and they reconcile whilst Simon tells her 'It's normally bigger, it's just cold'.
After the boat party is over, the other boys and girls visit Simon in hospital, and once he recovers they all spend the rest of their holiday together as couples. Eventually, the four boys head home to the UK. As they meet their families at the airport, their girlfriends exit the same terminal and introduce themselves to the boys' parents as the film ends. In a final scene before the credits, a drunken Mr. Gilbert is seen riding a quad bike through the streets of Malia in his underwear with a necktie round his head in a John Rambo style.

What is an Aswang? An aswang is a mythical creature in Filipino folklore. The legend of the aswang is well known throughout the Philippines, except in the IIocos region. The creature is described as a combination of vampire and witch and is almost always female. The aswang is an eater of the dead and a cannibal. They are capable of transforming into either a huge black dog or a black boar. The creatures stalk and eat human beings at night. Garlic bulbs, holy water, and other objects are believed to repel aswang. Many stories revolve around these creatures eating children and unborn fetuses. In human form they appear normal, and are quiet, shy, and elusive. At night, they transform into the deadly beast. One key feature of the aswang is its bloodshot eyes. In the Middle Ages, the aswang was the most feared among the mythical creatures in the Philippines.
